The Moral Argument for God’s Existence.

An atheist might say you can be good without believing in God. However the question isn’t can you be good without believing in God but can you be good without God? Here’s the problem if there’s no God. What basis remains for objective good or bad, right or wrong? If God does not exist objective moral values do not exist. Here’s why. Without some objective reference point we    really have no way of saying something is up or down. Gods nature however provides an objective reference point for moral values. It’s the standard which all action and thoughts are measured. However, if there is no God then there is no objective reference point. All we are left with is one persons view point as opposed to some other persons view point. This makes morality subjective not objective.  It’s like a preference for vanilla ice cream. The preference is in the subject not the object. Therefore it doesn’t apply to other people. In the same way subjective morality applies only to the subject. It’s not va

Do You Need a New Beginning, maybe Forgiveness?

There was a little boy
and girl visiting their grandparents on their farm. The boy was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods. He practiced in the woods, but he could never hit the target. Getting a little discouraged, he headed back for dinner. As he was walking back he saw Grandma's pet duck.

Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the head, and killed it. He was shocked and grieved.

In a panic, he hid the dead duck in the wood pile, only to see his sister watching! Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing.

After lunch the next day Grandma said, "Sally, let's wash the dishes." But Sally said, "Grandma, Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen. Then she whispered to him, "Remember the duck?" So Johnny did the dishes.

Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing and Grandma said, "I'm sorry but I need Sally to help make supper." Sally just smiled and said," Well that's all right because Johnny told me he wanted to help." She whispered again, "Remember the duck?" So Sally went fishing and Johnny stayed to help.

After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally's... he finally couldn't stand it any longer.

He came to Grandma and confessed that he had killed the duck. Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug, and said, "Sweetheart, I know. You see, I was standing at the window and I saw the whole thing, but because I love you, I was just waiting for you to come and tell me so I could forgive you. I was just wondering how long you would let Sally make a slave of you."

Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done...God knows.

Hebrews 4:13 (ESV)
[13] And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Proverbs 5:21 (NIV)
[21] For a man's ways are in full view of the LORD,
and he examines all his paths.

However it's the devil who keeps throwing it up in your face (lying, cheating, unpaid debt, fear, bad habits, hatred, anger, bitterness, etc.) ..Whatever it is....You need to know that God was standing at the window and He saw the whole thing..... He has seen your whole life; He knows we are broken as human beings. He wants you to know that in all of your brokenness He loves you and that you can be forgiven. That’s one of the reasons why Jesus came.

For God so loved you that he gave you his son. If you believe in him you will be saved from judgement, freed from the devil, set free from the scars of regret of life and receive the gift of eternal life. Jesus didn’t come to condemn us but to save us. Because we are all already condemned and there is nothing we can do on our part to free ourselves from God’s judgement and that’s where the devil wants us to stay.

Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31-32)

God’s just wondering how long you will let the devil make a slave of you. The great thing about God is that when you ask for forgiveness, He not only forgives you, but He erases your past and makes you a new creation and welcomes you into His kingdom. He will than give you the power to resist sin and those things which are against God's will... It is by God's grace and mercy that we are saved not by cleaning up your act because we can't get it clean enough but Jesus can.

God is at the window. He says you don’t need to hide anymore. Let my son Jesus bring healing to your soul.
