The Moral Argument for God’s Existence.

An atheist might say you can be good without believing in God. However the question isn’t can you be good without believing in God but can you be good without God? Here’s the problem if there’s no God. What basis remains for objective good or bad, right or wrong? If God does not exist objective moral values do not exist. Here’s why. Without some objective reference point we    really have no way of saying something is up or down. Gods nature however provides an objective reference point for moral values. It’s the standard which all action and thoughts are measured. However, if there is no God then there is no objective reference point. All we are left with is one persons view point as opposed to some other persons view point. This makes morality subjective not objective.  It’s like a preference for vanilla ice cream. The preference is in the subject not the object. Therefore it doesn’t apply to other people. In the same way subjective morality applies only to the subject. It’s not va

Don't Play The Fool...Your Soul May Depend On It

2 Corinthians 4:4 (NIV)
[4] The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

The devil never tips his hand in temptation. He shows you only the beauty, the ecstasy, the fun, the excitement, and the stimulating adventure of stolen desires. Hebrews 11:25 (NIV) Speaking about Moses it says, "[25] He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time."  Sin brings pleasure but it always comes at a cost. And the devil will try and convince you that the price really isn't as expensive as the preacher says it is.

He never tells the heavy drinker, “Tomorrow morning there’ll be a hangover. Ultimately, you’ll ruin your family.”

He never tells the drug user early on, “This is the beginning of a long, sorrowful, dead-end road.”

He never tells the thief, “You’re going to get caught, friend. You do this, and you’ll wind up behind bars.”

He certainly doesn’t warn the adulterer, “You know, pregnancy is a real possibility.” Or, “You could get a life-threatening disease.”

Are you kidding? Face it, when the sin is done and all the penalties of that sin come due, the devil is nowhere to be found. He smiles as you fall . . . but he leaves you with no encouragement when the consequences kick in.

2 Corinthians 2:11 (NIV)
[11] in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.
